Spinal Decompression in Frisco
Spinal Decompression
Spinal disc decompression therapy is available at Twisted Spine & Joint and was developed by a team of top physicians and engineers as a non-invasive, non-surgical way to help increase the chances of disc recovery and long term relief without the need for surgery.
Research shows an 86% to 94% success rate for conditions such as:
1. Herniated, slipped and buldging
discs with or without complications
2. Degenerative disc disease
3. A relapse or failure following
surgery even with multiple levels of herniation
4. Sciatica
5. Spinal Stenosis
6. Facet syndrome
Spinal disc decompression effectively treats
many conditions to help Twisted Spine & Joint's patients live
a pain-free life and become more active. Spinal decompression
relieves lower back and neck pain by increasing disc space and
creating a negative pressure or vacuum. This vacuum effect
helps to draw the soft gelatenous material to the center of the
disc, thus reducing the disc herniation, strengthening the outer
ligaments and reversing high intradiscal pressure.
Clinical studies evaluating nonsurgical spinal disc decompression on patients with herniated and degenerative disc disease showed that 86% of the 219 patients who completed the therapy reported immediate resolution of symptoms, while 84% remained pain-free 90 days post-treatment. Physical examination findings showed improvement in 92% of the 219 patients, and remained intact in 89% of these patients 90 days after treatment. This spinal disc decompression study shows that disc disease—the most common cause of back pain, which costs the American health care system more than $50 billion annually—can be treated in a very cost-effective way. The cost for successful non-surgical spinal disc decompression is less than a tenth of that for surgery, with far less recovery time and work loss time. (Shealy,CX,Borgmeyer, V.,AMJ.
